Cristiano Ronaldo Early Life: (1953–2005)
Cristiano Ronaldo was born São Pedro, Funchal, on the Portuguese island of Madeira, and grew up in Santo António, Funchal. His mother’s name is Maria Dolores and father’s name is José Dinis Aveiro. His father José Dinis Aveiro died in his early age in 2005. He belongs to a middle class family as his mother was a cook and his father was a municipal gardener and part-time kit man. Cristiano Ronaldo was the fourth and youngest among his family. He has one elder brother named Hugo and two elder sisters named Elma and Liliana Cátia “Katia”, who is a singer.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother broke out that she was about to abort him due to poverty and his father’s alcoholism but the doctors refused to do so and our little champ came to the world on 5 February 1985. He used to share his room with all of his siblings.
From 1992-1995 Ronaldo-Cr7 played for amateur team Andorinha where his father was the kit man, and later spent two years with Nacional. At the age of 12 he went for a 3 days trial with Sporting CP who signed him for a fee of £1,500.At the age of 14 he got the confidence in himself and he believed that he had the ability to play semi-professionally, and agreed with her mother to stop his studies and to give all his time to football.
Cristiano Ronaldo-Cr7 was very popular in his school but he had some bad memories of his school. He had been expelled from his school, after throwing a chair at his teacher, who he said had “disrespected” him. After a year later, he was diagnosed with a racing heart, a condition that could have forced him to give up playing football. Ronaldo underwent heart surgery where a laser was used to cauterise multiple cardiac pathways into one, altering his resting heart rate. He was discharged from the hospital hours after the procedure and resumed training a few days later.
